Oberlin Center for the Arts will be accepting a limited number of applications for performing artists interested in being part of our Performing Artist in Residence artist roster. This may include, but are not limited to, the following performance-based art forms;
Instrumental and vocal musicians
Actors
Dancers
Comedians, poets and spoken word artists
Oberlin Center for the Arts will recruit artists that either have the ability to produce high-quality audio and video recordings of their work themselves, or in-person, at a controlled facility that will be used for regular live-streaming, and production efforts.
As an InterActs Artist, there are a number of different ways to participate:
We appreciate the donation of your time and effort in the production of your work! As a volunteer, you can provide as much content as you would like, contributing to an archive of performances that will be made available to older adults and medical facilities across Ohio.
As a contracted artist, you will be asked to produce roughly 15 minutes of content per week over the course of a month. Payment consists of $50/week, totaling $200/month, and will be remitted at the end of each month.
As a pay-per-play artist, you will receive remuneration directly tied to the amount of content you produce. There is no schedule for delivery of content, and the amount that you produce is entirely up to you. While we establish working agreements with each artist, generally payment consists of $50 for every 15-minutes of content and will be remitted upon submission and acceptance.
As this program evolves, these performances will become reflections, interpretations, and responses to information provided by older adults being served. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us.
