The Sandusky City School’s Junior Arts Academy is a free, after school arts enrichment program available for 3rd through 6th grade students who have a serious interest in the arts. Courses are offered by district faculty across multiple disciplines, including the visual arts, theatre/drama, choral and instrumental music and dance. Participating students also receive wrap around support including a hot meal, homework assistance and additional programming.
For the 2019 - 2020 school year, the Junior Arts Academy will be offered on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's from 3:00pm to 6:00pm beginning October 1st and running through April 1st. This year's sessions include;
Choir
Handbells (for students grades 4 to 6)
Advanced Guitar (for students grades 4 to 6 with prior experience)
Dance (for students grades 4 to 6)
Theatre
Beginner Guitar
Visual Art
