Oberlin Center for the Arts is proud to announce that it was selected as the 2018 Snap Grant Award Winner at the Ohio Arts Council's Arts &... Arts Impact Ohio event. As part of it's first first two-day statewide professional development conference held in 18 years, the Ohio Arts Council invited arts organizations to propose an innovative project idea that would use the power of the arts and creativity to address social and societal issues in new ways. Selected finalists were required produce a 60- to 90-second video summarizing their proposed projects to be presented at the final session of the conference whereby attendees would view each submission and cast their vote for the best proposed project. As one of the 6 finalist organizations who presented, Oberlin Center for the Arts was chosen by popular vote as the final grant recipient to receive a $1,500 Snap Grant award to develop a program to bring music to healthcare settings in Lorain County.
